James Rodríguez admitted that León’s front office has yet to approach him about extending his contract, which expires in December, raising the possibility that this could be his final tournament with the Esmeraldas.

Although there is still time to negotiate, Rodríguez revealed that the club has made no move so far. The Colombian captain suggested he is open to staying, but if an offer never comes, he would be willing to explore other opportunities for the next stage of his career.

“They haven’t said anything yet," he told FOX Sports. "There are still three or four months left, but I always say a club should come before any player or name. We’ll see if they want me to continue – if not, I’ll look for another path."
