Dier tipped for Spurs exitLinked with shock Bayern moveTuchel responds to rumoursGetty ImagesWHAT HAPPENED?
Tottenham defender Dier has been linked with a shock reunion with Harry Kane, who is starring at Bayern Munich. The 29-year-old has been tipped to leave Spurs after seeing very little game time this season but the German giant's manager Tuchel gave a rather cryptic response when asked about the possibility of signing the England international.

When the former Chelsea boss, who joined the Bundesliga outfit in March 2023, was asked about the Dier speculation, he said via DAZN Germany: "English! Have you already asked the sporting director? There will be no comment from me."

Dier's Tottenham career looks to be over. He has made just four appearances in all competitions this season, despite their hefty injury list, and manager Ange Postecoglou suggested he could afford to lose the 6ft 2in defender. If an unexpected Bayern move takes place, Dier may take that opportunity to link up with old teammate Kane – who he played alongside for nearly a decade at Spurs.
WHAT NEXT?
Dier, who is out of contract at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer, will be assessing his options whilst the January transfer window remains open. If a deal is to be struck between Spurs and Bayern, who are currently without injured defenders Bouna Sarr, Tarek Buchmann, and Noussair Mazraoui, time is on their side.
