Over on Steam, today brings a fresh peak concurrent player count of 60,086, up from a peak of 41,412 on launch day. The game sits with a Very Positive user score rating on Valve’s storefront.

There’s still a little ways to go until Shadows tops the series’ last big launch, Valhalla – though that arrived in late 2020 when many of us were stuck at home. Regardless, Shadows’ launch performance so far will likely be a relief to Ubisoft, at a time when the company is reportedly considering a sale or some other kind of reorganisation to turn around its ailing fortunes.
